Job Opportunity – Perioperative Registered Nurse – Texas

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM; includes two Mondays and two Fridays per schedule period; no weekends or on-call
Highlights:
- Work in a 22-bed Adult Day Surgery unit supporting general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, and scopes
- Patient ratios of 1:1 in preop, PAT, and holding; 3:1 in post-op
- EMR: Meditech (required familiarity)
- Collaborative team environment with 41 staff members including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs
- Flexible scheduling with self-scheduling options and rotational floating to PreAdmit Testing, Preop, and Post-Op areas
- Adult and pediatric patient populations; candidates with dual experience are prioritized
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with IV starts
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR strongly preferred
- Day surgery, preop, or PreAdmit Testing (PAT) experience highly desirable
- Pediatric and adult perioperative experience preferred
