Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a 12-room operating room department serving a Level 3 trauma center
• Perform across a broad range of surgical service lines including general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN
• Participate in on-call coverage, including up to 2 late call shifts per week (until 11:00 PM) and call every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Wear a radiation badge at all times when required; badge must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting with a well-rounded skill set (general, neuro, ortho, ENT, GYN)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• Radiation badge required and must be supplied by the staffing agency
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad scope of specialty competency across multiple surgical service lines (first-time travelers may be considered with demonstrated competency)
• Experience with Epic charting platform
• Familiarity with Level 3 trauma center environments and protocols
