Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care in an operating room setting, floating among various surgical specialties as needed
  • Self-assign call dates within a randomized scheduling order; expected call hours are 24-40 hours within each 4-week scheduling period
  • Utilize Epic EMR to document and support clinical care activities
  • Respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner within a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Apply evidence-based practice and strong critical thinking skills to support positive patient outcomes
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary surgical teams while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license - Single State or Compact (multi-state) required
  • BLS certification required upon hire (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or BLS Instructor accepted); candidates willing to obtain must be noted at time of submission
  • Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours
  • 3-5 years of operating room experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and time management skills; ability to read, write, and speak English; basic computer proficiency
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing accepted
  • Experience across multiple surgical specialties
  • Prior experience with self-scheduling or call rotation systems
