Noor Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2458.96
Opportunity:
RN - PCU Oncology
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Self-scheduling available but will be balanced to the needs of the unit
• Primary patient population includes adult oncology PCU and trauma PCU patients
• Unit consists of 18 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on both days and nights
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Oncology experience preferred; strong PCU experience without oncology may be considered
• Charge nurse experience not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
• Must be comfortable titrating insulin and Cardizem drips
• Common drips and medications include chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix
• Experience with high-flow respiratory equipment required
• Charting system: Epic
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Lyko lifts available in even-numbered rooms with additional lift equipment available
• Travelers may float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care
• Two days of unit orientation provided
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• BSN not required

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive medical services including a dedicated PCU Oncology unit. The unit supports a diverse patient population from diagnosis through remission, providing compassionate end-of-life care when needed. The facility fosters a team-oriented culture with robust support staff including nursing assistants, charge nurses, PT/OT, RN case managers, social workers, educators, and dietitians. The organization emphasizes hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting as key components of patient experience.
