Travel Nurse RN - Oncology in Utica, NY

Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a multi-specialty unit encompassing Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrine, GI, Dermatology, and General Medicine. Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including cancer, ESRD, diabetes, GI conditions, abdominal pain, and dermatological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a multi-specialty unit encompassing Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrine, GI, Dermatology, and General Medicine
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including cancer, ESRD, diabetes, GI conditions, abdominal pain, and dermatological conditions
• Operate and manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds
• Care for adult patient population (18 years and older) across a 56-bed unit
• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license (verified and in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Oncology nursing
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Current Chemotherapy (Chemo) certification
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience with specialty equipment including chest tubes, NG tubes, and specialty beds
• Familiarity with Hematology and Nephrology patient populations
