Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Rotation
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care on a 21-bed Hematology and Oncology unit, supporting diagnosis and treatment of hematological and oncological conditions
Administer and monitor inpatient chemotherapy, maintaining a 1:4 staffing ratio with active chemo infusing
Deliver palliative care, inpatient hospice, and end-of-life care with compassion and clinical expertise
Care for specialized medical patients including those with tracheostomies, focusing on symptom management and supportive care for progressive diagnoses
Float as needed to other post-surgical and medical-surgical inpatient floors
Document and chart accurately using the Epic electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
Active Kansas RN license or Multistate (Compact) RN license — no encumbrances or hits allowed, no exceptions
AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience
ADN or BSN degree in Nursing
No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the standard rate (no radius rule)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in oncology and/or hematology nursing strongly preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Familiarity with Epic EMR; test-out option available
