    Registered Nurse – Outpatient Hematology/Oncology

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, shifts ranging from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM to 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques
    • Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care, including administration of medications and treatments
    • Assist providers in patient care and patient education
    • Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of care
    • Administer chemotherapy in accordance with established protocols; ONS Biotherapy/Chemotherapy or Fundamentals certification required for chemotherapy administration
    • React calmly and effectively during emergency situations, identifying and prioritizing problems with confident decision-making
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers, renewed every two years
    • Minimum of one year of oncology nursing experience
    • ONS Biotherapy/Chemotherapy or Fundamentals course certification (must be obtained within two weeks of hire if not already held)
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, common safety hazards, and basic ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in an outpatient hematology/oncology setting
    • Familiarity with examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures specific to oncology patient populations
    • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
