    Travel RN – Medical/Surgical Oncology (Nights)

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekend requirement applies

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
    • Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
    • Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
    • Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and connects to appropriate resources.
    • Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact RN license.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical Oncology or a related nursing specialty.
    • Ability to practice independently and manage complex, contingent clinical situations.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Prior travel nursing experience in an oncology or medical/surgical setting.
