Registered Nurse – Oncology

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient oncology and hematology/BMT clinic setting
- Administer chemotherapy and related treatments in accordance with ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification standards
- Support bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients throughout their care continuum
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Float to other facilities within the health system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
- BMT experience required
- Outpatient oncology and outpatient hematology/BMT clinic experience required
- Any prior employment with a University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facility must be disclosed with full employment history, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
- Local candidates are welcome and are considered on the same basis as travel candidates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Experience working in a large academic or teaching hospital environment
- Familiarity with non-billable onboarding modules and ability to complete pre-start requirements in a timely manner
