Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an oncology setting across night shift hours
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments in accordance with ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification standards
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float within or below skillset level as needed, potentially to another campus or location based on unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
- BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
- ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in Oncology
- Travel nursing experience required
- EPIC experience, or combined EPIC/Cerner experience, within the last 6 months of work history
- 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
- Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity oncology environment
- Familiarity with float requirements across ICU, SDU, or Telemetry units
- Prompt interview availability, including time zone, for same day and within the next 3 business days
