Registered Nurse – Oncology (Contract / Travel)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Rotational Weekends Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Oncology unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- Perform medical, surgical, and chemotherapy-related nursing procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and support staff
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to comparable units as needed per facility guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact licensure
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Medical-Surgical nursing skills (required; candidates without this will not be considered)
- Experience with Oncology patient populations
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with rotational weekend requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior Oncology unit experience in an acute care setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
- Experience administering chemotherapy
