    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in an outpatient oncology setting
    • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
    • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues
    • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs while utilizing healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures
    • Participate in unit goals, performance improvement activities, and professional development to promote cost-effective, safe patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC)
    • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification (ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration is NOT accepted)
    • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
    • Minimum of two (2) years of chemotherapy/immunotherapy outpatient infusion experience
    • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
    • Familiarity with public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting the healthcare environment
