Oncology Registered Nurse – Travel Contract

Contract | Nights | 13-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week | 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Oncology unit serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Administer chemotherapy in accordance with unit protocols; valid chemotherapy certification required
- Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 on night shifts
- Float to Med/Surg, Cardiac, and Neuro/Joint Spine units within the region as needed, with at least 2 hours advance notice provided prior to any float shift
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to facility call-off policies, including potential rescheduling of missed weekend or holiday shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Experience in oncology nursing
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Willingness to float between regional locations as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating to Med/Surg, Cardiac, or Neuro/Joint Spine units
- Experience caring for a diverse patient population including adolescents and geriatrics
- Strong adaptability and comfort working across multiple care settings
