Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in adult medical oncology settings including GI, GU, Breast, Head and Neck, Neuro, Thoracic, Lymphoma, and Leukemia
Support GYN oncology procedures including pap smears, biopsies, colposcopies, and pelvic exams, as well as classic hematology cases such as Sickle Cell, anemia, ITP, and Factor 8
Perform and assist with Bone Marrow Biopsies in a clinic setting
Carry out clinical skills including accessing ports, central line blood draws, Neupogen administration, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care
Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
Float within skillset as needed based on census and patient acuity
Required Qualifications
Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of relevant oncology or hematology nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
Demonstrated competency in port access, central line blood draws, Neupogen administration, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care
Availability to work 2 of 3 designated holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience across multiple oncology subspecialties including GYN oncology and classic hematology
Familiarity with clinic-based procedures such as colposcopy and bone marrow biopsy assistance
Experience working in a travel nursing capacity with adaptability to varying patient ratios
