Travel Nurse RN - Oncology in New Brunswick, NJ

Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on an IMC-level oncology unit serving general med/surg, BMT, clinical trials, surgical oncology, and liquid/solid tumor oncology diagnoses. Float within scope of practice to other oncology units and, as needed, to MS/Tele, Stepdown, and IMC floors on the main campus.

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an IMC-level oncology unit serving general med/surg, BMT, clinical trials, surgical oncology, and liquid/solid tumor oncology diagnoses
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5+ in a telemetry-capable environment
• Utilize telemetry skills as part of routine unit care at the IMC level
• Document and manage patient records using EPIC electronic health record system
• Float within scope of practice to other oncology units and, as needed, to MS/Tele, Stepdown, and IMC floors on the main campus
• Complete pre-start and annual non-billable compliance modules, including EPIC training and facility-required competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Telemetry skills required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with BMT or clinical trials patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience in an IMC or stepdown level of care setting
