Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM | No weekends or holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy treatments
- Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to radiation therapy
- Collaborate with the oncology care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment processes, side effect management, and supportive care
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered, ensuring patient safety throughout the care continuum
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in oncology or radiation oncology nursing
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to start prior to October
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a radiation oncology outpatient setting
- Familiarity with radiation therapy protocols and side effect management
- Strong patient education and communication skills
