Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout an assigned shift
- Prescribe and deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and patient/family input
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate patient care delivery across all age groups
- Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card (Fundamentals or Standard course depending on experience)
- ONC/ONCC-CHIM certification
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; charting systems must be documented in work history
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
- OCN Certification and/or PICC Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
