    Travel RN – Medical Oncology (Nights)

    Location

    Independence, MO | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 48 Hours Guaranteed per Week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Med-Surg/Oncology/Hospice unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Care for hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring with no interventions
    • Perform procedures including wound vac changes, drain removal, IV/PICC line management, Foley insertion/removal, and NG insertion/removal
    • Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Operate unit equipment including I-med, I-mobile, Neurons vitals machines, glucometers, PCAs, wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical drains
    • Float to Med-Surg and Telemetry (Med-Surg level patients) as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
    • Availability to work every third weekend
    • Team-oriented, patient-centered approach with a positive attitude
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a Med-Surg, Oncology, or Hospice setting
    • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patients
