    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for oncology patients
    • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy infusions, blood products, IV iron, fluids, and electrolytes in an outpatient setting
    • Perform port lab draws and injections in accordance with established standards and protocols
    • Assess patient and family readiness to learn and provide appropriate patient/family education and emotional support
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and revise individualized plans of care, including discharge planning for complex patients
    • Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures — including Epic — to document and deliver care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required
    • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
    • At least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience required
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
    • Experience with chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron/fluids/electrolytes, port lab draws/injections, and patient/family education required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
    • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification (note: ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification is not accepted as a substitute)
