Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within a high-volume BMT Oncology unit serving 80–100 patients daily
Administer chemotherapy and manage central line draws in accordance with unit protocols
Operate Baxter IV pumps and ICU medical chemo adapters to support patient treatment plans
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs, resource RNs, and medical assistants
Maintain patient ratios of 1:6, adjusting as needed for higher acuity patients
Document accurately using Meditech and Onco EMR systems
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of current BMT Oncology acute care hospital experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
BMT and/or Hematology Oncology (HemOnc) experience strongly preferred
Outgoing, personable, and warm bedside manner well-suited to an oncology patient population
