Travel RN – Oncology
LocationDallas, Texas
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | No On-Call
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Oncology unit with an estimated patient ratio of 1:3–4, flexing to 1:5
- Administer and monitor IV therapies including blood and electrolyte replacement using Baxter infusion pumps
- Maintain strict intake and output monitoring and adhere to neutropenic precaution protocols
- Perform and document routine care including CHG baths and linen changes every 24 hours, dressing changes every 7 days, and line and cap changes every 96 hours
- Document all patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant units as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology nursing experience
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR
- Experience with Baxter infusion pumps
Preferred Experience / Skills- Hematology/Oncology (HemOnc) background
- Chemotherapy certification
- Experience with Bone Marrow Transplant patient populations
