Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4×10-hour shifts (6:30-17:00) | Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday | No weekends | No call | No float requirement | Expected 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to adult medical and surgical oncology patients, including those with breast medical oncology diagnoses
- Triage patient calls and conduct patient interactions in the clinic setting
- Communicate lab and diagnostic results to patients and provide patient education
- Assist with in-office procedures based on assignment area; medical oncology procedures may include bone marrow biopsies, while surgical oncology procedures may include port removals, breast biopsies, and wide local excisions
- Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with team members who will provide procedure-specific training upon onboarding
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in NC or a Compact state (pending license acceptable for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BCLS certification required
- Surgical experience, outpatient experience, and medical oncology experience required
- Triage experience required
- Must bring own stethoscope

Preferred Experience / Skills- Medical oncology specialty experience
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification preferred
