    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Med-Surg/Oncology unit at a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Perform strong post-operative assessments for a high-turnover unit including colorectal, urological, bariatric, hepatobiliary, hysterectomy, and breast reconstruction patients
    • Care for chemotherapy and oncology patients; charge nurse may assist with chemo administration on and off the unit
    • Manage PCAs and provide care for palliative patients requiring CPAP or high-flow oxygen
    • Participate in self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period and a holiday rotation; standby requirement monitored by central staffing
    • Float to other Med-Surg/Tele units as needed; assist with hall/overflow admissions and room preparation including double-bunking scenarios
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience (within the past 6 months)
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum 2 attempts); failure results in a 6-month disqualification from associated facilities
    • Must pass a Sim Lab assessment on day one of orientation (pass/fail; study guides provided)
    • Telemetry experience required due to floating responsibilities
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated health system facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ONS Chemo Provider Card preferred
    • Strong post-operative assessment skills and demonstrated ability to manage high patient turnover
    • Experience with oncology and chemotherapy patient populations
