Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Oncology (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (06:45–19:15) | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Oncology unit serving oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow patients
- Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 in an 18-bed unit environment
- Utilize EPIC EMR and standard medical equipment including IV pumps and vital sign machines
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with unit standards and facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in Alabama
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- NIHSS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience
- Med/Surg experience is required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Acute care experience strongly preferred
- Oncology or palliative care background
- Experience with EPIC EMR
