Oncology Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced Oncology Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. The role involves providing care in various oncology settings, offering a crucial support system for patients undergoing cancer treatment and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in diverse oncology units including inpatient, outpatient, and palliative care settings.
• Administer chemotherapy and supportive medications as per the care plan and protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
• Assist in clinical procedures and maintain a safe and sterile environment.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in various settings and adapt to changing environments.
• Willingness to work on a rotating schedule with day/night shifts.

Schedule

This position includes a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts, encompassing both days and nights, designed to meet the needs of our floating oncology departments.
