Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour and Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care BMT/Hematology experience, chemotherapy administration experience required, but willing to consider candidates with 1.5 years of experience. License: Valid RN license Certifications: AHA BLS, ONC certification Must-Have: Candidates must have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios. Candidates must be comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios that may flex based on staffing and unit needs. Description: This position involves providing care for patients with blood cancers who are receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies. Candidates will be expected to float between similar units as required by facility needs. Nurse-to-patient ratios may vary but are generally 3-4:1. Candidates must have the ability to manage various clinical scenarios, including administration of chemotherapy and blood products. Experience with central line care, monitoring for side effects, and recognizing abnormal lab values is important. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care. Candidates will be expected to maintain skills relevant to the management of patients undergoing stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapies. Weekend coverage is required based on unit needs.
