License: Pending licenses accepted. Certifications: ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification required. BLS required, ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Epic experience is required. Description: The inpatient oncology unit is a 28-bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit. It also includes a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio for the oncology unit is 1:4. This position is for night shifts with a rotation that includes every other weekend and every other holiday. Nurses are supported by a free-floating charge nurse on both day and night shifts. The team consists of nursing, physicians, pharmacy, and several auxiliary services. Collaboration is key in providing evidence-based and quality-driven care. The unit is recognized for its excellence in cancer care. Nurses will have the opportunity to gain deep knowledge of oncology patient care. This facility boasts large private rooms designed to enhance patient comfort. A resource nurse is available 5 to 7 shifts per week for additional support.
