Description:
This position is for an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse.
The nurse will provide care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
They will float between units based on patient care needs.
Weekends and block scheduling are not required.
The expected patient ratio is 6-7 patients per shift.
The unit provides outpatient infusion therapy for adult patients with various types of cancer.
The nurse will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and managing side effects.
Compliance with safety protocols and handling cytotoxic materials is essential.
Previous experience with accessing and managing ports is required.
The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient care.
Documentation will be done using an electronic charting system.
Candidates should have skills in patient education and support.
Floating to other facilities may be required based on operational needs.
