Patient-to-nurse ratios are approximately 1:4-5, with 1:3 for bone marrow transplant patients. Candidates with experience in oncology nursing are preferred. Every other weekend shift is required. BMT experience is necessary for some patients. Standard procedures include IV starts, administering chemotherapy, and caring for patients with central lines. Does not require chemotherapy administration experience for new travelers. Position may involve floating within the service line to meet facility needs.
