TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS (BSN preferred) Must-Have: - Understanding of EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required - Ability to manage patients with medical oncology diagnoses including solid tumors and leukemia Description: Position involves working in an oncology unit focusing on medical oncology and hematologic malignancies. Patient-to-nurse ratios are approximately 1:4-5, with 1:3 for bone marrow transplant patients. Candidates with experience in oncology nursing are preferred. Every other weekend shift is required. BMT experience is necessary for some patients. Standard procedures include IV starts, administering chemotherapy, and caring for patients with central lines. Does not require chemotherapy administration experience for new travelers. Position may involve floating within the service line to meet facility needs. All applicants should possess strong skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and patient management in an inpatient setting. Ongoing training and compliance updates may be necessary for this role. This position is open to first-time travelers and requires strong teamwork and communication skills. Candidate must have a strong foundation in oncology nursing principles and practices.
