**Join Our Team as a Medical Oncology RN!**
**Job Description:**
- Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of cancer patients?
- We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology team!
- In this role, you will:
- Administer a variety of treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy, according to providers' orders.
- Access port-a-caths, PICCs, and Hickman catheters, providing clinical care to all assigned patients.
- Perform venipuncture, dressings, and conduct lab tests via ports, PICCs, and Hickman catheters.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of patients' conditions, treatments, and responses.
- Monitor and document intravenous therapies, promptly notifying the Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner of any unusual occurrences.
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers about medications, treatments, side effects, nutrition, and necessary adjustments to their daily lives.
- Verify informed consent prior to administering chemotherapy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper handling, administration, and disposal of hazardous drugs.
- Ensure a safe environment by complying with all policies and procedures.
- Be proficient in Epic EMR for seamless documentation and patient management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Shift Information:
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
