Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in hematology and oncology, particularly in high-acuity inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with hematological and oncological conditions.
  • Administer chemotherapy and other treatments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in clinical status.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and supportive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care and interventions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of travel experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong background in hematology/oncology nursing.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cart T-cell therapy (CART) is preferred.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemo-immunotherapy certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with inpatient oncology research patients is beneficial.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential is not mandatory but considered an asset.

Work Schedule

This position requires a rotating day/night schedule, including weekend shifts (EOW). Candidates should be adaptable to the demands of a busy healthcare environment.
