Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description

This unit consists of three pods, each with 10 beds, offering a patient-focused environment to deliver specialized oncology care. The staffing ratio is 1:3 to 1:4, ensuring that each nurse can provide attentive and high-quality support to patients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients with varying diagnoses, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and various solid tumors.
  • Administer cellular therapies and manage patients enrolled in clinical trials.
  • Utilize advanced technologies and medical equipment including telehealth systems, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter infusion pumps.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in oncology nursing, particularly in mixed solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplant (BMT), and cellular therapies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in caring for patients diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other solid tumors.
  • Proficient in cellular product administration and protocol adherence for clinical trials.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
