Description

Job Title: RN - Oncology Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required. License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required. Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required. ONS certification is required. Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Client or physician's office experience is preferred. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for outpatients in a clinic setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Prepares patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures and assists with minor surgery. Performs additional procedures as directed. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
