Job Opportunity – Oncology/Hematology Registered Nurse – New Jersey

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Newark, New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 13-week assignment, approximately 50 patient visits per day in a 12-room clinic setting

Highlights:

  • Work with a diverse adult oncology and hematology patient population including medical oncology (GI, GU, breast, head and neck, neuro, thoracic, lymphoma, leukemia), gynecologic oncology, and classic hematology (sickle cell, anemia, factor deficiencies, ITP)
  • Perform specialized procedures including bone marrow biopsies, gynecologic procedures (Pap smears, biopsies, colposcopy, pelvic exams), port management, and central line blood draws
  • Epic electronic medical record system experience required
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, and transportation
  • Minimum 1 year of oncology/hematology nursing experience required
  • Opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills including administration of hormonal therapy, Neupogen, colostomy care, and IV medication administration

Requirements:

  • Active New Jersey RN license or compact state license required at time of submission
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of oncology/hematology nursing experience
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Demonstrated competency in port access and management, central line blood draws, and administration of chemotherapy agents
  • Proficiency in specialized oncology procedures including bone marrow biopsy assistance and gynecologic procedures
  • Ability to float within skillset as needed based on unit census and staffing
  • Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays during assignment
