Registered Nurse - Oncology | Travel | Valparaiso, IN / Crown Point, IN

Assignment Overview

Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in oncology care. This position requires a chemotherapy certification and involves providing patient care in a clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering chemotherapy and will thrive in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Assignment Details

  • Assignment Type: Travel
  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift Details: Main shift 7a-4p, rotating 8a-4:30p
  • Locations: 2505 Valley Drive, Valparaiso, IN, and 10855 Virginia Street, Crown Point, IN
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2704.8 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Patient Age Group: Adults

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and manage patient reactions
  • Educate and support patients and their families
  • Manage and monitor chemotherapy infusions
  • Perform central line and PICC line care
  • Access and manage ports
  • Handle chemotherapy-related body fluids safely
  • Perform phlebotomy and manage infusion pumps

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of nursing experience
  • Indiana RN license
  • ACLS, BLS, and Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certifications
  • Experience with charting system Epic
  • Skills in managing ports and administering various cancer treatments

PEL/VIP Job ID #65340024. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
