Description:
This position is for a registered nurse specializing in oncology with chemotherapy certification.
You will be responsible for the administration of chemotherapy and providing comprehensive care to oncology patients.
The role requires experience with blood & blood product administration, central line/port management, and monitoring for adverse effects following chemotherapy.
Interaction with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy and social services, is essential in this role.
The patient care environment involves monitoring adults and geriatric patients with various oncological diagnoses.
A significant aspect of the role includes patient education and support for both patients and families.
Strong organizational and communication skills are vital for effective care coordination.
