Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Oncology (Chemotherapy Certified) – New Jersey

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Central New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required. Patient ratio of 1:4-5. Orientation includes 24 hours of training plus pre-start modules.

Highlights:
  • Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) oncology unit specializing in bone marrow transplant (BMT), clinical trials, surgical oncology, and all liquid/solid tumor oncology diagnoses
  • Telemetry monitoring required; float assignments within scope of practice to oncology, medical/surgical, telemetry, stepdown, and IMC units across connected campus
  • Comprehensive patient care including general med/surg, BMT patients, clinical trial participants, and post-surgical oncology cases
  • Epic electronic medical records system with robust interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and social services
  • 24-hour orientation program with ongoing educational support and annual competency modules
  • Opportunity to work with diverse oncology patient populations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; previous charge experience preferred
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Epic charting system experience required; patient ratio experience with 1:4 or higher strongly preferred
  • Community hospital and telemetry experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, port management, central line care, administration of blood products, IV push medications, and infusion pump management
  • Experience with oncology patient populations including solid and liquid tumors, neutropenic precautions, and managing chemotherapy side effects
