Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Oncology (Chemo Certified) – New Jersey
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time schedule with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required. Patient ratios of 1:4-5. 24 hours of orientation provided.
Highlights:
- Intermediate level of care (IMC) oncology unit with telemetry capabilities
- Diverse case mix including bone marrow transplant (BMT), clinical trials, surgical oncology, and all liquid/solid tumor oncology diagnoses
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services
- Floating within scope of practice required to oncology units and medical-surgical/telemetry, stepdown, and IMC floors; main campus connected by pedestrian bridge
- Strong support services including phlebotomy, radiology, respiratory services, interpretation services, and unit secretary
- Opportunities to work with advanced oncology treatments including immunotherapy, cytotoxic therapy, and stem cell therapies
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
- ACLS, BLS, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- OCN and ONS/ONCC certifications preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Telemetry skills required; experience with 1:4 patient ratios preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Expertise in chemotherapy administration, port management, central line care, and oncology-specific procedures including BMT care
