TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Paramus, New Jersey, 07652!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years Med/Surg Oncology experience License: New Jersey or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Candidates must be willing to float to other units. - Every other weekend shifts are required. - COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Oncology. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology experience. BLS certification is mandatory to start. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred. Candidates should have access and management skills for ports and the administration of blood and blood products. Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and care for central lines, implanted lines, and PICC lines is essential. Nurses will be required to manage inpatient oncology patients. Additionally, proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs is necessary. Candidates will be expected to pass a Basic Arrhythmia Review exam during orientation to continue with the contract. Successful completion of background checks and licensure verification is mandatory prior to starting the position. This role includes responsibility for medication management, patient education, and coordinating care collaboratively with the healthcare team. Candidates should demonstrate strong time management and nursing skills. The work environment is fast-paced with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. Interest in end-of-life care and pain management will be beneficial.
