The need for additional nursing staff is urgent. Chemo certification is preferred but previous chemotherapy infusion experience is also acceptable. The nurse will be responsible for administering intravenous chemotherapy drugs and other intravenous therapies. Pre- and post-treatment patient care will be provided. Key responsibilities include assessing patients before IV treatments. Nurses will access ports or IV lines for lab draws and IV therapies. They will administer chemotherapy and other IV infusions while monitoring patients during treatment. Nurses will also administer prescribed intravenous medications and oral pre-treatment medications. Monitoring and responding to side effects or reactions according to protocols is essential. Experience with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) is beneficial. Candidates must complete necessary lab tests prior to starting the position.
