Education of patients and families in health promotion and disease management is essential. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. Collaboration with team members and effective resource utilization is expected. All nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements must be complied with. Active participation in the Nursing Shared Governance Model is required. Engagement in professional development and completing mandatory education is necessary.
