Job Opportunity – Bone Marrow Transplant / Hematology Oncology RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights/combination) based on unit needs; assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; orientation provided (72 hours)

Highlights:

  • Mixed acuity progressive care and medical-surgical unit specializing in bone marrow transplant and hematology oncology
  • Care for patients with complex diagnoses including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes
  • Participate in advanced therapies including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
  • 36-bed unit with daily census of 33 patients; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
  • Epic EMR charting system with GE telemetry monitoring
  • Float capability to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year current inpatient hematology oncology experience
  • Demonstrated experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma required
  • BLS certification (required)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification (required)
  • ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • 2 professional references including at least 1 manager/director reference

Key Skills:

  • Chemotherapy administration and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
  • Blood and blood product administration
  • Central line management, PICC line care, and port access/management
  • Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Isolation precautions, infection prevention protocols, and fall prevention
  • Recognition and communication of abnormal lab values
  • Stem cell therapy experience preferred
  • Graft-versus-host disease and graft rejection knowledge beneficial
