What You’ll Do:
- Manage a full patient load, providing outpatient infusion therapy—including chemotherapy, monoclonals, and other hematology/oncology treatments.
- Educate patients and families at the chairside about their treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize electronic medical records and infusion pump technologies to deliver safe, effective care.
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of recent infusion experience, preferably in outpatient clinics.
- Strong vascular access, port access, and IV skills.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification.
- Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a full patient case load.
- Excellent communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions.
- Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Outpatient clinic experience.
- Experience with monoclonal and biologic agents.
- Prior work in a community-based oncology practice.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Current, unencumbered nursing license in the state.
- Proven experience in outpatient infusion and oncology settings.
Other Requirements:
- Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform infusion procedures and patient care activities.
