Job Opportunity – Bone Marrow Transplant / Hematology Oncology RN – Ohio
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights); shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
Highlights:
- Specialized 36-bed Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology Oncology unit with mixed acuity PCU and medical-surgical patients
- Comprehensive patient population including ALL, AML, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, chronic leukemias, and myelodysplastic syndromes
- Advanced treatment modalities including autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
- Epic electronic medical records system with GE telemetry monitoring
- 72-hour comprehensive orientation program with interdisciplinary support including interpretation services
- Float opportunities within other medical-surgical oncology units for diverse clinical exposure
Requirements:
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of current medical-surgical and inpatient hematology oncology experience (must be actively working in specialty within the last 12 months)
- Required experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma (Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's), and multiple myeloma
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
Core Clinical Skills:
- Chemotherapy administration and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
- Blood and blood product administration
- Central line management including blood draws, sterile dressing changes, PICC lines, and port care
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Feeding tube care and management
- Isolation precautions and infection prevention protocols
- Recognition and communication of abnormal lab values and sepsis management
- Experience with stem cell therapies and transplant nursing principles
