Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification preferred.
Must-Have:
Experience with computerized charting, specifically Epic.
Current acute care experience is mandatory.
Description:
This position is for a medical-surgical oncology registered nurse specializing in bone marrow transplant.
The nurse will care for patients with various hematological conditions, including Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and Multiple Myeloma.
The unit includes patients receiving autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants.
Key responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, and central line care.
A strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety will be emphasized.
Nurses will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
The role may require floating to other medical-surgical oncology units based on staffing needs.
