- Ostomy experience preferred
- ONS preferred
Description:
Mission Bay location with a 12-hour day/night rotation.
Will not rotate in the same week but may rotate in a 4-week scheduling period.
Ability to float to other facilities when required.
References must be completed before submission.
The unit provides care for a variety of patients, including those with urological, gynecological, colorectal, orthopedic, breast, head and neck, liver, and pancreatic diseases.
Nurses are responsible for complex wound care, ostomy care, and tracheotomy care.
Patient education is prioritized for both the patient and their caregivers during discharge.
Post-operative pain management modalities include epidurals and PCAs.
The unit has high turnover rates for discharges and admissions.
Resources may be reassigned to a different department or unit within a designated radius if they meet the required job specifications.
Modules required for this position will vary by unit and specialty.
Modules are completed prior to starting and on an annual basis.
