- Housing Logistics: Shared facility housing available (STRICT RULE: No pets, no guests permitted). Candidate must have own personal transportation on the island.

Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Departmental Hardstops:
- Licensure Mandate: Active, unencumbered Massachusetts (MA) State RN License held in hand at submission.
- Core Certification Required: Active AHA BLS ONLY (ACLS is not required).
- Clinical Specialty Baseline: Dedicated ambulatory Oncology and/or Outpatient Infusion RN experience required.
- Preferred Credential:ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card strongly preferred.
- Housing Restrictions: Must acknowledge and adhere to shared housing rules (strictly no pets and no guests allowed).
- Transportation Mandate: Candidate must bring/have their own personal vehicle for island transportation.
- Vaccine Mandate: Candidate must have an active, up-to-date Flu Vaccine (no exemptions noted).
Job Summary & Clinical Scope
A Hospital in Oak Bluffs, MA is seeking an experienced, autonomous Oncology / Infusion Registered Nurse (RN Infusion) for a 13-week contract assignment in the Chemo & IV Therapy Unit (MV6252 / SO00002915). The RN will manage outpatient chemotherapy, biological agents, immunotherapy, and complex IV hydration/blood product transfusions for island residents and visiting patients.
- Chemo & Immunotherapy Administration: Safely mix, verify, administer, and monitor antineoplastic agents, biologics, targeted therapies, and monoclonal antibodies per ONS guidelines and hospital protocols.
- Infusion & Vascular Access Care: Access and maintain peripheral IVs, midline catheters, PICC lines, and implanted ports (Port-a-Caths); execute blood transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomy, and specialty IV infusions.
- Symptom & Hypersensitivity Management: Closely monitor patients during infusions for adverse reactions, extravasation, or anaphylactic hypersensitivity responses; manage immediate emergency interventions per protocol.
- Patient & Family Education: Provide clinical education on chemotherapy treatment cycles, side-effect management at home, infection prevention, and oral supportive medications.
