The unit provides adult inpatient care for cancer patients. Registered Nurses will participate in meeting the complex care requirements of oncology patients. Candidates should possess skills in managing ports and administering chemotherapy. Experience in handling acute conditions and providing patient education is required. All staff must float to similar units as necessary. Weekends will be scheduled every other week. There are no on-call or float requirements specified. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment. Patient ratios are typically 3:1 during the day and 4:1 at night. Interdisciplinary support is available, including therapy and social services. Travelers with prior patient care experience will be preferred.
