Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Oncology/Hematology) – Kansas
Start Date: October 5, 2026 (additional bi-weekly orientation dates available through November 30, 2026)
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend rotation, 2 federal holidays per year plus additional spring and winter holidays

- Specialized 21-bed unit providing comprehensive care for hematological and oncology diagnoses, palliative and hospice care, and medically complex patients
- Staffing ratios of 1:6 (1:4 with active chemotherapy infusing) ensuring quality patient care
- Epic charting system with test-out option available for experienced users
- 26-week contract posted with preference for extended contracts up to 51 weeks

- Opportunity to provide inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, and supportive care for progressive diagnoses
Requirements:
- Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (clean background required, no exceptions)
- AHA BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- ADN or BSN degree
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required; oncology/hematology experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Vaccination requirements: Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella immunity or proof of vaccination, TDaP, Influenza (or exemption), and TB documentation
- Willingness to float to other post-surgical floors and medical-surgical inpatient units
